Description
The K06 wiper ring (scraper) is designed to protect the inside of the hydraulic system from the ingress of external contaminants. Fitted in the cylinder gland, it effectively removes dust, mud, dirt and moisture from the surface of the retracting piston rod, which prevents damage to the packing seals and extends the service life of the hydraulic power components. The K06 profile is single-acting and has a flexible wiping lip. This profile is intended for installation in open or semi-open installation grooves. The acrylonitrile-butadiene rubber (NBR) version with a hardness of 90 Shore A provides dimensional stability, a low friction coefficient and optimal contact of the lip with the metal surface of the piston rod. This material is resistant to mineral oils, greases and petroleum-based hydraulic fluids. Technical and dimensional data: Inner diameter (d): 10 mm Outer diameter (D): 14 mm Installation height / thickness (h): 2 mm Overall height with lip (H): 3 mm Size in inches: 0,394 × 0,551 × 0,079/0,118 in Material: NBR (nitrile rubber) Hardness: 90 Shore A Maximum feed speed: 1,0 m/s
Material
NBR (nitrile butadiene rubber)
- Operating temperature-30 °C to +100 °C
Good with oils, fuels, water and compressed air. Not for brake fluid, solvents, strong acids or sunlight.
| Can be used | Do not use |
|---|---|
| Mineral oil, grease and hydraulic oil (H, H-L, H-LP) | Brake fluid (DOT 3, DOT 4, DOT 5.1): the ring swells quickly |
| Diesel, fuel oil, kerosene | Sunlight and open air (ozone): the rubber cracks |
| Petrol (gasoline), propane, butane | Acetone, MEK, ethyl acetate and similar solvents |
| Water and water-based liquids, up to +80 °C | Benzene, toluene, trichloroethylene (aromatic and chlorinated solvents) |
| Compressed air, also with oil mist | Synthetic ester oils and fire-resistant fluid HFD-R |
| Water-based fire-resistant hydraulic fluids (HFA, HFB, HFC) | Strong (concentrated) acids, e.g. nitric and sulfuric, and strong oxidizers |
| Oil-and-water emulsions | Steam and hot water above +100 °C |
| Weak acids, alkalis and salt solutions, at room temperature | |
| Use with cautionPetrol with a lot of bioethanol (E10, E85): better use FKM (Viton) | |
Shows low compression set within the recommended temperature range.
