Piston seal KGD 70x55x22,4 AE

The KGD 70×55×22,4 AE piston set is a complete sealing set for the pistons of double-acting hydraulic cylinders. The AE variant differs from the standard KGD in that it has no angled guide rings — the piston must have separate guides provided in the cylinder design. The set is installed in a rectangular groove on the piston. The set comprises three elements: a central sealing element made of NBR rubber (hardness 70 Shore A), two side supports made of thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) and two anti-extrusion rings made of polyacetal resin (POM). The NBR element has three compact sealing edges on the dynamic side, which concentrate the pressure on the working surface of the cylinder, while the recesses between them retain a thin layer of oil, reducing friction and wear. The geometry of the static side provides a wide contact surface with the groove bottom, which prevents the rubber from rotating and deforming during operation. The POM rings stabilise the NBR element on both sides and eliminate the risk of material being extruded under pressure. Installation is possible both in a closed groove on a monolithic piston and in an open groove on a two-piece piston.
