Description

WEICON Zinc Spray - high-quality protective and anti-corrosion agent. The product produces a quick-drying and well-adhering protective coating consisting of zinc microparticles in the form of flakes of very high purity (99.9%). The agent provides solid and long-lasting anti-corrosion protection for all metal surfaces, including galvanized elements. The protective layer is exceptionally resistant, also to extreme weather and environmental conditions (it has hydrophobic properties - it repels moisture). Even after 1,050 hours of the brine test according to DIN 53167 and DIN 50021, metal elements coated with Zinc-Spray show no signs of corrosion. The coating created by Zinc Spray is also very resistant to abrasion and withstands temperatures ranging from -50°C to +500°C. Typical application of Zinc Spray: • Coating and protection of outdoor metal parts • For coating and protecting welded joints • Protection and coating of drilled holes • Protection of exposed metal edges of galvanized parts and fittings • As a conductive intermediate layer for spot welding • Other applications where metal parts need to be protected from corrosion Technical data: Colour RAL9006*, “ Slightlyweathered hot-dip galvanisation“ Application range indoors and outdoors Binding agent styrenated alkyd resin Pigment flaky zinc and aluminium pigments Pigment purity approx. 99,9% Zn / approx. 99,9% Al Percentage of metal in dry film 70 % Specific weight 1,1 - 1,3 g/cm³ Recommended primer not required Processing temperature +5 to +35, optimal +18 to +35 °C Consumption at 1.5 cross coats 150 ml/m² Layer thickness at 1.5 cross coats 30 -50 µm Dust dry after 15 min.
