WEICON Crack Testing Agent Set – professional set for non-destructive crack detection (NDT) The WEICON Crack Testing Agent Set allows fast, precise surface detection of scratches, cracks, voids and leaks in the material structure, even those invisible to the naked eye. The set is ideal for maintenance departments, quality control, welding, mechanical engineering, foundries and professional car and metalworking workshops. The set contains: 1. Cleaner – 500 ml A colourless, material-neutral agent for thoroughly degreasing and cleaning the test surface before the test and for removing excess dye. 2. Penetrant (red dye) – 500 ml An agent with excellent capillary properties that penetrates deep into the smallest gaps and micro-cracks. 3. Developer – 500 ml A white, solvent-based developer. Once dry, it forms a contrasting background that quickly draws the red penetrant out of the cracks to the surface and shows the damage clearly. Advantages: Suitable for testing metal parts (welds, castings, machine parts) as well as most plastics, ceramics and glass. Allows full technical inspection without interfering with the structure or damaging the tested part. Detects hairline fatigue cracks, corrosion cracks and porosity from welding.
