Description
The K10-50×58×6/8 wiper ring is a single-acting protective element for hydraulic cylinders, made of NBR (nitrile rubber) in the NB9001 compound of increased hardness. The profile removes solid contaminants, dust and moisture from the extending and retracting piston rod, which protects the sealing assembly and the working fluid from degradation. The K10 profile is built around a flexible wiping lip with an optimized cross-section and an additional inner sealing lip. The double lip geometry removes foreign particles from the piston rod surface effectively while retaining the oil film inside the system, reducing the risk of stick-slip. The outer edge provides stable seating in the closed gland groove without the risk of the ring twisting during cyclic operation. Technical data and dimensions: Piston rod inner diameter (d): 50,0 mm Housing outer diameter (D): 58,0 mm Ring height (h): 6,0 mm Total height / groove (H): 8,0 mm Dimensions in inches (d × D × h/H): 1,969" × 2,283" × 0,236" / 0,315" Profile type: K10 (Double Wiper) Material: NBR (material code: NB9001) Brand: Kastas Application: protection of the hydraulic system in cylinders and actuators Compatibility: mineral hydraulic oils (DIN 51524), HFA, HFB, HFC emulsions
Material
NBR (nitrile butadiene rubber)
- Operating temperature-30 °C to +100 °C
Good with oils, fuels, water and compressed air. Not for brake fluid, solvents, strong acids or sunlight.
| Can be used | Do not use |
|---|---|
| Mineral oil, grease and hydraulic oil (H, H-L, H-LP) | Brake fluid (DOT 3, DOT 4, DOT 5.1): the ring swells quickly |
| Diesel, fuel oil, kerosene | Sunlight and open air (ozone): the rubber cracks |
| Petrol (gasoline), propane, butane | Acetone, MEK, ethyl acetate and similar solvents |
| Water and water-based liquids, up to +80 °C | Benzene, toluene, trichloroethylene (aromatic and chlorinated solvents) |
| Compressed air, also with oil mist | Synthetic ester oils and fire-resistant fluid HFD-R |
| Water-based fire-resistant hydraulic fluids (HFA, HFB, HFC) | Strong (concentrated) acids, e.g. nitric and sulfuric, and strong oxidizers |
| Oil-and-water emulsions | Steam and hot water above +100 °C |
| Weak acids, alkalis and salt solutions, at room temperature | |
| Use with cautionPetrol with a lot of bioethanol (E10, E85): better use FKM (Viton) | |
Shows low compression set within the recommended temperature range.
