The Z-07 wiper ring is widely used to protect the working parts of hydraulic cylinders against the ingress of dirt, mud and moisture. Fitted mainly on pins or journals in the cylinder eyes, it effectively prevents dirt from getting into the lubricated space. The wiper is made of polyurethane (PU), which is characterised by high abrasion resistance, and has a steel case that provides rigidity and a firm hold in the seat. The Z-07 profile design allows the wiper to be pressed into the housing, which contributes to a stable fit even in difficult conditions such as heavy dust or vibration. In operation it effectively “scrapes” dirt off the moving surface, thereby protecting the bushings and the internal grease from degradation.
