Guide ring HIS 58x63x9,7 (code: HIS 0580 0630 097 R0) is used in hydraulics and pneumatics as a guiding element for the piston or the rod. Its main task is to guide the moving parts of the cylinder, reduce friction and prevent metal-to-metal contact. Material: POM with glass fibre (R0) – polyacetal resin reinforced with glass fibre. High wear resistance and good sliding properties. Also available as R1 (reinforced polyamide). Shape and function: HIS is a ring with a rectangular section and chamfered edges for easy fitting. It is fitted in the grooves of the rod or the piston and works together with the seals. It protects the seals against excessive side loads and keeps the moving parts of the cylinder aligned.
