Description

The High-Pressure Seal 17x28x5 BAHDSN NBR is a reliable and durable shaft seal, which is used in hydraulic engines. They are used in hydrokinetic drives, where high performance and reliability are required. The seal is equipped with an open metal insert on the front side, which forms a stable contact surface. This protects it from deformation under pressure, which translates into its long life and reliability. The product is made of NBR, or nitrile rubber, which is characterized by high resistance to oils and greases. The maximum working pressure of the seal is 150 bar, while the average working pressure is 100 bar. The maximum linear speed it can reach is 2 m/s. Seals marked with the symbols BAHD, BAHDSN, and BAKHDSN are interchangeable and can be used interchangeably in the same applications. This means that regardless of the model chosen, you can count on the same high quality and performance. The High-Pressure Seal 17x28x5 BAHDSN NBR is a product designed for work in difficult conditions, where high reliability and durability of the seal are required. Thanks to it, you can increase the efficiency of your hydraulic engine and enjoy its long-lasting and trouble-free operation.

Material

NBR (nitrile butadiene rubber)

  • Operating temperature-30 °C to +100 °C

Good with oils, fuels, water and compressed air. Not for brake fluid, solvents, strong acids or sunlight.

Chemical resistance
Can be usedDo not use
Mineral oil, grease and hydraulic oil (H, H-L, H-LP)Brake fluid (DOT 3, DOT 4, DOT 5.1): the ring swells quickly
Diesel, fuel oil, keroseneSunlight and open air (ozone): the rubber cracks
Petrol (gasoline), propane, butaneAcetone, MEK, ethyl acetate and similar solvents
Water and water-based liquids, up to +80 °CBenzene, toluene, trichloroethylene (aromatic and chlorinated solvents)
Compressed air, also with oil mistSynthetic ester oils and fire-resistant fluid HFD-R
Water-based fire-resistant hydraulic fluids (HFA, HFB, HFC)Strong (concentrated) acids, e.g. nitric and sulfuric, and strong oxidizers
Oil-and-water emulsionsSteam and hot water above +100 °C
Weak acids, alkalis and salt solutions, at room temperature
Use with cautionPetrol with a lot of bioethanol (E10, E85): better use FKM (Viton)

Shows low compression set within the recommended temperature range.
