Piston seal KGD 90x72x22,5

The KGD 90×72×22,5 mm piston set is a compact double-acting seal designed for hydraulic cylinders. The Aston Seals product consists of three interacting elements: a central sealing element made of NBR rubber, two anti-extrusion rings made of thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) and two angled guide rings made of polyoxymethylene (POM). The rubber sealing element has a low compression set. Three compact sealing edges concentrate the load on the dynamic surface, and the spaces between them retain small amounts of fluid, reducing friction and wear. The geometry of the static side of the seal provides a wide contact surface with the groove, which prevents the element from twisting during installation. The anti-extrusion rings stabilise the rubber element and prevent it from rotating. The guide rings centre the piston in the cylinder and absorb radial loads. The seal can be installed both in a closed groove in a one-piece piston and in an open groove in a two-piece piston. Installation order: rubber element – TPE rings – POM guide rings. The guiding surfaces and groove edges should be rounded and free of burrs. Before installation, it is recommended to lubricate the element with working oil.
