The K703 wiper ring is a two-element, single-acting piston rod wiper made of a profiled PTFE ring and an NBR o-ring acting as the elastic element (energizer). The PTFE ring has a specially shaped profile with a working edge set at angles of 20° and 60°, which removes contaminants from the piston rod surface as it extends while leaving a thin oil film. The NBR o-ring provides the preload pressing the PTFE lip against the piston rod and static sealing on the outer diameter of the groove. The two-part design allows operation at high sliding speeds with the low friction characteristic of PTFE-based materials. The K703 wiper is used in mobile hydraulics, aluminium injection machines and industrial equipment where effective protection of the system against the ingress of solid particles and external contaminants is required.
