The Z-07 wiper ring is used as a protective barrier against the ingress of dirt, mud and moisture into the working parts of hydraulic cylinders. Usually fitted on pins or journals in the cylinder eyes, it effectively prevents dirt from getting into the lubricated space. Design and function: The wiper, made of polyurethane (PU), is characterised by high abrasion resistance and is seated in a steel case, which provides rigidity and a firm hold in the seat. The Z-07 design allows the wiper to be pressed into the housing, ensuring a stable fit in conditions of heavy dust and vibration. In operation it effectively “scrapes” dirt off the moving surface, protecting the internal bushings and the grease from degradation. Application: pins and hinges of hydraulic cylinders, cylinder eyes in construction and agricultural machinery, mechanisms lubricated with solid grease and exposed to mud and dust.
